THREE Fraserburgh skippers who won the trophies for the port’s top over-18m and under-18 whitefish/prawn boats in 2007 repeated their successes in 2008, reports Tim Oliver.
Skipper Mark Masson of Valhalla FR 268 and skippers Derek and John Watt, who jointly command the under-18m Excel BF 110, won the Maitland Trophy and the MacRae Stephen and Co Trophy respectively.
They were presented with their awards at a dinner in Fraserburgh’s leisure centre last Saturday night.
Bette Maitland presented the Maitland Trophy to Mark Masson and he also received a gift from Graham Lawrie of the boat’s agent, Peter and J Johnstone, in recognition of his achievement.
