Stocks of North Sea brown shrimp (crangon crangon) are back to the levels of 2015 after two years of low catches, which is having a positive effect on demand but a negative impact on prices -- a situation that could lead to a collapse of the market toward the end of the year.

The year-round fishery normally has two differentiated periods: the strong season starting at the end of July and lasting through December, and a slower period where fishermen catch lower volumes of shrimp.
