UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the UK fishing waters will not be sacrificed in a new Brexit deal during a visit to Scotland, reports The Press and Journal.

Johnson said he can 'guarantee' the country will get out of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) by Dec. 2020, while access to fishing waters will not be linked to future trade deals with the European Union.

Leaving the CFP may impact the economy positively and create many jobs, the prime minister said.
