American Seafood's fishing vessel Katie Ann is experiencing engine issues, adding more woes to the company's recent legal battles.

Several Alaska seafood producers confirmed with IntraFish the vessel has been having engine trouble and was being towed back to Seattle. The vessel operates as a mothership processor for hake and Pacific cod.

The vessel can hold 800 metric tons of frozen cargo and is one of American Seafood's six fishing vessels, which altogether can hold up to 7,330 metric tons, according to the company.
