US tariffs imposed Monday on $200 billion (€170 billion) worth of imports from China pose a substantial threat to Alaska pollock producers.
That was the message Stephanie Madsen, executive director of the pollock catcher-processor trade group At-Sea Processors Association, sent to the Office of the US Trade Representative Aug. 31 in response to policies the group said are "creating stiff headwinds for export dependent Alaska pollock companies."
