Alaska pollock prices continue to plummet, with executives in the industry pointing to Russia's ongoing disruption of the global market as a primary culprit.
US pinbone out (PBO) fillet block prices have dropped substantially from 2022's record prices that hovered around $5,000 (€4,576) per metric tons and are unlikely to reach that high again anytime soon, an executive overseeing an Alaska processing plant told IntraFish.
"I think that the price settling out at $4,000 (€3,673) is overly optimistic," he said of current negotiations.
