Peruvian anchovy vessels harvested 319,090 metric tons, or 13.2 percent, of their 2.41 million metric ton quota in the first 13 days of fishing in north central waters, the country's Production Ministry (Produce) reported.

Although the fishing season was delayed amid the coronavirus health crisis, harvesting was allowed to start up gradually on May 13 under strict new rules on board vessels and in processing plants aimed at preventing the spread of the virus.
