Summa Equity, the Nordic private equity owner of Milarex and Nofitech, closed a €2.3 billion ($2.6 billion) fund earlier this year, some of which will be spent on aquaculture investments that can help the industry grow sustainably.

While data on impact funds are scarce, the fund is likely Europe’s largest to date, followed by Italian Ambienta and Swedish Trill, which have €1.3 billion ($1.4 billion) and €900 million ($1 billion) in assets under management, respectively.

The new capital, which brings the total amount under Summa's management to €4 billion ($4.5
