Washington-based Marine Fishing International (MFI) bought Great Pacific's Whittier-based processing plant and will be operating it under the name of Whittier Seafood LLC this season and going forward, Torrey Wing, CFO at MFI told IntraFish.

Acting on behalf of MFI, CTT Management Company bid to buy the Alaska factory at a February auction.

CTT's bid came to $647,114.84 (€602,981.6) and it agreed to pay all costs of closing, including delinquent property taxes. The company also paid $15,650 (€14,582) for a ground lease, $9,500 (€8,852) for three air compressors and a $30,000 (€27,954) carve-out to the estate.
