Colorado-based salmon smoker Honey Smoked Fish Co. acquired the US operations of The MacKnight Food Group on Feb, 15, Jonathan Brown founder and CEO of MacKnight confirmed to IntraFish.
"They acquired all the assets and payables," Brown said. Honey Smoked Fish is backed by the private equity firm McCarthy Capital.
UK-based MacKnight Holdings Limited is the holding company of MacKnight Limited and Grants Smokehouse, both based in the United Kingdom.
