US-based investment advisor Evermore Global Advisors (EGA) purchased 88,775 new shares in land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire on Sept. 10 through a recent oversubscribed private placement.
Prior to the transaction, EGA held 7,263,554 shares, about 10.1 percent of Atlantic Sapphire's outstanding shares.
However, with the new share issue, EGA's stake was diluted to 9.17 percent.
The investment advisor is part of the hedge fund Evermore Global Value Fund.
