Chilean agro-giant Empresas Agrosuper -- the owner of salmon farmer Los Fiordos -- agreed to buy 100 percent of AquaChile in a deal worth $850 million (€736 million), the companies announced Monday.

Finalization of the deal is subject to “conditions normally associated to these kind of transactions," they said.

Under the deal, Agrosuper is acquiring Holding Salmones Limitada and Inversiones Patagonia Limitada, which together account for 67 percent of the shareholding in AquaChile.
