Two UK processors have formed a joint venture to help weather the havoc of the coronavirus pandemic, which sent one of the groups into liquidation at the end of April.

According to documents filed with UK register Companies House, Grimsby-based Kirwin Brothers and the owner and founder of Redcar-based Inshore Fisheries, Paul Lowery, teamed up to form North East Seafoods Limited on May 7.

The list of directors for the new company includes Lea Kirwin and Glen Kirwin -- directors of Kirwin Brothers -- and Paul Lowery.
