UK-based fish and chips supplier F. Smales & Son narrowed losses in its latest financial year as cost restructuring, including the closure of its chilled seafood division, began to show results.

The company's operating loss for the year through Aug. 31, 2020 reached £241,729 (€279,870/$342,404), a sharp turnaround from last year when the company bled out £674,157 (€780,528/$954,929).
