Thai Union has set up a new US subsidiary, shoring up its presence in the North American pet food market.
The Thai seafood giant's US-based i-Tail Corporation has established a new company under the name i-Tail Americas, with registered capital of $5 million (€4.4 million).
The new company will acquire shares in US Pet Nutrition, which sells and distributes pet food products in the United States, from Thai Union North America. The restructuring aims to increase flexibility in the management and operation of Thai Union's pet food business in the market.
