Australian salmon farmer Tassal reported a strong increase in earnings in its full financial year of 2019 based on high salmon volumes and supported by growth in the shrimp business.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 12.6 percent to AUD 112.3 million (€68.7 million/$76.1 million), due to a significant increase in salmon biomass. In addition, strong pricing returns and salmon harvests allowing for a good sales mix also boosted earnings.
