California-based Southwind Foods, which distributes products under the Great American Seafood brand among others, is acquiring Galaxy Foods, Inc. and Equator, Inc.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal is expected to close in early July and will result in Galaxy Foods and Equator, both located in San Pedro, California, merging into Southwind Foods operations in Carson, California.
Galaxy Foods and Equator are US-owned companies that have supplied seafood related products to grocery chains for more than 20 years.
