Seamark UK, a supplier of frozen seafood, reported yet another "challenging" financial year in 2015, resulting in a overall loss for its operations.
The Manchester-based company reported a net loss of £593,603 (€702,499/$788,536), down from a profit of £99,602 (€117,874/$132,310) in the previous year.
Operating losses amounted to £475,166 (€562,335/$631,206) for the year, dropping from an operating profit of £486,003 (€575,160/$645,602) a year prior.
Gross profit declined nearly 40 percent from £6.8 million (€8 million/$9 million) to £4.1 million (€4.9 million/$5.4 million) year-on-year, despite a significant cut in the cost of sales.
