Florida-based Sea Delight has acquired now-defunct Bonamar's brands and trademarks, including the notable Sebastian crab brand, the company announced Wednesday.

In February Bonamar Corporation was placed in an assignment for the benefit of creditors, and was liquidated as a result of credit line default, according to Sea Delight.

"The goal of this intellectual property acquisition is to make Sea Delight a major player in the crab category as it will now offer one of the most diverse offerings of crab globally under one of the most recognizable seafood brands in the industry," said Cesar Bencosme, the company's senior vice president.
