Norwegian salmon behemoth Mowi more than doubled its operational earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) in the second quarter of this year to reach approximately €320 million ($324.6 million), the group said in a trading update on July 18.
This is compared with the €137 million ($139 million) the group earned in the corresponding period last year.
Mowi's operational EBIT per kilogram in the different farming regions in which it operates is as follows:
