Norway Royal Salmon was hit hard by rocketing production costs in the first quarter of 2020 which, combined with lower price realization, created a dramatic downturn in earnings for the producer.

The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) crashed 46 percent to NOK 98.1 million (€8.8 million/$9.5 million) as the company struggled against an ISA-impacted site and last year's low water temperatures.
