The coronavirus health crisis is preventing the new majority owner of Scottish salmon producer Loch Duart from putting its mark on the company, but the group's investment ethos is a long-term positive for the group.

A majority ownership shareholding in eco-friendly salmon farmer Loch Duart was acquired by US-based private equity group Vision Ridge Partners as part of its SAF II Master Fund LP.

A spokesperson for the salmon producer was unable to put a date on the deal but on Tuesday UK Companies House identified SAF II Master Fund as a "person of significant control," beginning Feb.
