Canadian frozen food giant High Liner lifted revenue and earnings in the first quarter of the year, thanks in part to successfully pushing through higher prices and increasing retail and foodservice sales.

Sales in the quarter increased by $51.3 million (€48.6 million), or by 21.1 percent, to reach $294.7 million (€279.1 million).

Sales volume, meanwhile, rose just 5.2 percent to 73.4 million pounds during the period, highlighting the company's success in passing on inflationary increases.
