US-based The Plant Based Seafood Co. announced Friday that celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn has invested in the company.
The amount and scope of the investment was not disclosed.
The Plant Based Seafood Co. markets shrimp, crab, oysters, lobster and scallop products made from plant-based materials under its Mind Blown brand.
Mendelsohn, a former contestant on the TV show Top Chef, owns the PLNT Burger restaurant chain, and the mushroom jerky snack brand, Eat The Change.
