Dutch fishing and processing company Parlevliet and Van der Plas (P&P) scored big profits in 2018 following the company's series of acquisitions.

Profits jumped about 35 percent to €124 million ($137 million) year-on-year, while revenues increased 31 percent to €1.3 billion ($1.4 billion), Quote reported.

The latest move was made in August when P&P bought a share in fellow processor Platvis Holland.

Together with the Jonk family, it has acquired Belgian seafood processor Nordpesca Europe NV, which was transferred to the Netherlands and operates under the name Nordpesca Holland.
