Chile’s stock exchange and the Oslo Børs signed a collaboration agreement Tuesday with the aim of promoting the listing of seafood companies on the two exchanges.

Seafood has grown into one of the most important sectors for Oslo Børs.

The combined market capitalization of the 14 seafood companies listed on Norwegian marketplaces now represents 10 percent of the combined total market capitalization of all the companies listed on the Oslo Børs.

Meanwhile, salmon is Chile’s second largest export product, and at the moment there are five seafood companies listed with the Santiago Exchange.
