Florida-based Omni Shrimp Inc. on Tuesday posted a first-quarter loss of $169,000 (€153,000) compared to net income of 65,000 (€58,850) the first quarter of last year.
Omni reported first quarter 2017 revenue grew by 22 percent to $773,000 (€700,000) compared to $634,000 (€574,000) posted during the first quarter in 2016. The company
The company attributed the loss to the cost of being a public entity and planned for growth.
"The market for our US, wild caught and chemical free Key West Pink, White and Brown shrimp continues to grow unabated," said company CEO Colm Wrynn.
