South African fishing group Oceana is eying further future acquisitions after it reported a strong financial year through September, CEO Francois Kuttel told IntraFish.
Operating profit for the group jumped 69 percent in the year ended Sept. 30 to ZAR 1.7 billion (€110.3 million/$116.9 million), on revenues of ZAR 8.2 billion (€532.2 million/$563.8 million).
The result was boosted by the 2015 acquisition of United States-based Daybrook Fisheries, as well as strong sales growth at its African operations.
"We're very pleased with the result," Kuttel said.
