Feed giant Nutreco is continuing its run of investments in land-based salmon farming projects, the latest in partnership with a major Norwegian seafood harvesting, fish farming and processing group.

The Dutch feed giant said Friday it would invest in stock-listed land-based salmon farmer Andfjord Salmon as part of a NOK 38 million (€3.7 million/$4.3 million) private placement and feed supply agreement.

Under the terms of the deal, Nutreco will invest NOK 20 million (€2 million/$2.2 million) into the operation, while Vesteralen-based Holmoy group will invest NOK 8 million (€788,771/$897,086) through its fish farming subsidiary Eidsfjord Sjofarm, which already held shares in Andfjord.
