Aquaculture services giant NTS saw earnings surge in the third quarter as it completed the acquisition of salmon farmer SalmoNor.

The company, which has operations in both the service equipment and production sides of salmon farming, posted a 46 percent increase in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization to NOK 283.9 million (€28.5 million/$32.6 million).

Operating revenue rocketed to NOK 1.4 billion (€140.5 million/$160.9 million), a more than doubling year on year.

The company, which has been on the acquisition trail, is also waiting to complete its purchase of Norway Royal Salmon (NRS), which it is planning to merge with SalmoNor.
