Norwegian integrated aquaculture group NTS's part-owned Icelandic salmon farming operation Ice Fish Farm is looking to issue a private share placement in the hope of raising funds to aid growth and lower production costs.

NTS intends to contribute capital in the potential issue and to maintain a stake of over 50 percent in the company after the transaction.

Ice Fish Farm currently owns 62.7 percent of NTS subsidiary Midt-Norsk Havbruk.

It currently holds licenses for 20,800 metric tons of capacity on the east coast of Iceland and has applied for an additional 16,800 metric tons.
