The largest Mowi shareholder and Norwegian billionaire John Fredriksen has sold 262,316 shares in salmon giant Mowi at a price of NOK 187.65 ($19.69/€17.24) per share, or NOK 49.2 million ($5.16 million/€4.52 million), through Geveran Trading Co. Limited, a company indirectly controlled by trusts established by Fredriksen for his immediate family.
Fredriksen is also known for his shipping empire.
After this transaction, Geveran’s affiliated ownership in Mowi is 14 percent of the issued shares and votes in the company, while also holding TRS agreements with underlying exposure to 4,000,000 shares.
