New estimates on the losses from a huge mortality event at Norway Royal Salmon's Icelandic salmon farm Arctic Fish have been set at 3,000 metric tons of large size fish that were ready for market.

The number is significantly bigger than original estimates, which set the volume at 1,500-2,000 metric tons.

The costs associated with this have been estimated at around NOK 106 million (€10.5 million/11.9 million), with a knock-on 22 percent reduction in 2022 harvest volumes to 10,100 metric tons, the company said in its fourth quarter results presentation Wednesday.
