Nordic Aqua Partners, the group building a land-based salmon farm in Ningbo, China, debuted on Oslo Stock Exchange's Euronext Growth with shares trading for NOK 93 (€8.71/$10.50), 14.8 percent more compared with its recent share issue.

The Nutreco-backed land-based salmon farmer successfully raised €55.1 million ($65.4 million) in the private placement coming up to listing.

The net proceeds from the private placement will be used to finance biomass, investments in production equipment, and general corporate purposes.

Around 118,000 shares have been traded at the time of publishing.

Nordic Aqua Partners is expected to produce 8,000 metric tons of land-based salmon per year by 2026.

However, in April, it postponed its full growout recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) salmon facility as it struggled to secure equity financing amid COVID-19.
