Norwegian salmon giant Mowi has successfully secured a five-year green bond loan package worth €200 million ($221.8 million).
The advisors included Danske Bank, DNB Markets, Nordea, ABN Amro, Rabobank and SEB.
This is the first green bond ever issued by a seafood company, according to Mowi. An application will be made for a listing on Oslo Bors. Settlement date is expected to be Jan. 31, 2020.
A euro-denominated green bond for a five-year tenure may follow based on market conditions.
