Mowi Consumer Products, the value-added processing (VAP) arm of the global salmon giant, saw increasing revenues in the second quarter of 2021 while earnings slumped due to higher raw material costs .

The division reported revenues of €665 million ($789.3 million) and earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of €16.2 million ($19.2 million), corresponding to a 1.2 percent increase and a 30.5 percent decrease, respectively, compared to the same period last year. The earnings were the company’s second highest to date.
