Rich Products' recent acquisition of Morey's Seafood International has Morey's CEO Jim Walstrom "very excited about the future."

Walstrom told IntraFish Tuesday while it's still early to talks specifics of the deal, bringing the two brands together will give Morey's the ability to expand and better serve its customer base.

"They are a very diverse company and seafood is only one of their entities," Walstrom said of Morey's new parent company, which also owns SeaPak along with nine specialty food brands in the meat and dairy space.
