Vigo, Spain-based Profand Group has reached an agreement with the Argentine company Newsan Food to integrate part of its fishing business with the aim of growing in Argentina and the United States.

The company announced Tuesday the alliance reinforces its position in the production of Patagonian shrimp and squid, and diversifies its growth in the United States.

The agreement with Newsan Food adds 8,000 metric tons of annual product, increases Profand's fleet and adds a processing factory for shrimp in Trelew, a province of Chubut.
