Aquaculture tech supplier Akva reported that earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) plummeted from NOK 57 million (€5.6 million/$6.2 million) in the fourth quarter of 2018 to a loss of NOK 40 million (€4 million/$4.3 million) in the same period 2019.

The quarter also saw a net loss of NOK 85 million (€8.5 million/$9.2 million), representing a fall of 28 percent. The company said the loss was mainly due to "a challenging quarter" particularly in the land-based segment.
