Land-based yellowtail farmer The Kingfish Company began trading on the Oslo Stock Exchange's Merkur Market Nov. 25, after successfully raising NOK 535.5 million (€50.2 million/$59.2 million) in a private placement.

The shares are currently trading at NOK 27 (€2.56/$3.04), 31 percent more than the private placement, pricing the company at NOK 1.82 billion (€172 million/$205 million).

Among the marquee investors in the placement were Norwegian investor Oystein Stray Spetalen, Salmar owner and CEO Gustav Witzoe's investment group Kverva, ex-Salmar CEO Leif Inge Nordhammer and ex-Kverva CEO Helge Moen.
