An unnamed investor in land-based yellowtail farmer The Kingfish Company sold its 4 percent stake in the company at a discounted price, yielding $8.8 million (€7.2 million).

The seller sold its 2.7 million shares in the company for NOK 27.50 (€2.68/$3.25) per share, about 20 percent less than the price when markets closed Wednesday.

The Kingfish Company produced 677 metric tons of yellowtail kingfish in 2020, exceeding the design capacity of its advanced recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) by as much as 30 percent thanks to faster-than-expected growth rates.
