Kangamiut Holding, the parent company of Danish exporter Kangamiut Seafood, posted a nearly 50 percent jump in operating profit in recently filed figures for 2018.
The growth resulted from a combination of increased prices for the company's main species -- cod, haddock and some freshwater fish -- and higher sales volumes, Kangamiut CEO Ulrik Bjerre Rasmussen told IntraFish.
Operating profit rose 49 percent to DKK 72 million (€9.7 million/$10.6 million) compared with the previous year, while revenues charted similar growth of 48 percent against the year prior to reach DKK 3.4
