New York-based investment firm Peritus Capital's first investment is exactly the kind of agritech, aquatech and water infrastructure project CEO and founder Howard Tang is looking for.

The group, founded in 2020, has been looking for targets with revenues between $25 million- $100 million (€21 million - €84 million), and its first investment fit right in with its overall strategy of companies that tick all the right environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) boxes.

Peritus Capital has invested in land-based fish farmer iCell Aqua, a recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) technology group that uses wastewater conversion technology to further reduce freshwater use and limit organic waste put into the environment.
