Oslo-listed salmon producer The Scottish Salmon Company (SSC) is on the hunt for buyers because its majority owner is seeking an exit strategy, DNB Norway Managing Director Per Even Hauge told IntraFish.

The main shareholder of SSC is the specialty finance Swiss company, SIX SIS, which is linked to Ukranian businessman Yuri Lopatinsky. The company owns just under 73 percent of SSC as of 2019.

The Swiss company first came into the picture in 2010 when SSC was restructuring. No other single shareholder owns more than 5 percent of outstanding shares to SSC.
