Chilean salmon farmer Invermar saw its profit before tax slip 12.5 percent to $14 million (€12.3 million) in the third quarter of 2018, from nearly $16 million (€14.1 million) in the same period a year earlier, mainly due to lower salmon prices and higher costs.
Revenues in the third quarter, however, amounted to $47 million (€41.4 million) up 4 percent from $45 million (€39.7 million) in the third quarter of 2017, mainly due to higher volumes sold.
