Efforts to sell US Alaska pollock fishing giant American Seafoods are progressing, with "several serious buyers" now involved in the due diligence process.
"I'm confident it will happen this time," American Seafoods CEO Einar Gustafsson told IntraFish.
Gustafsson declined to identify the parties interested in potentially buying the Seattle-based company, which operates seven factory trawlers that harvest Alaska pollock and other whitefish.
