After a very lukewarm reception of its original bid of NOK 209 (€20.20/$23.70) per share for Norway Royal Salmon, Norwegian aquaculture company NTS on Wednesday night chose to increase the bid to NOK 240 (€23.10/$27.20) per share, and extend the acceptance period by 10 days.
The new bid values Norway Royal Salmon at NOK 10.4 billion (€1 billion/$1.2 billion).
The stock market responded instantly by sending the share price up to the bid price, and occasionally also slightly above.
