Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) saw its operating earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) sink 22 percent to NOK 94 million (€8.9 million/$10.5 million) in the second quarter of the year, largely due to higher productions costs caused by infectious salmon anaemia (ISA) issues in Norway.

The group’s EBIT per kilo for the quarter was down by a third at NOK 11.74 (€1.10/$1.30), compared with the same period a year ago.

Total operating revenues for the quarter amounted to NOK 1.34
