Freight, tariffs and distribution costs will increase the competitiveness of land-based farming activities, said Knut Nesse, Akva CEO, speaking at the equipment supplier's Capital Markets Day.
But in order to be deemed competitive with traditional methods, production costs in Asia should be between NOK 63 (€5.94/$7.06) and NOK 65 (€6.13/$7.28) to break-even and between NOK 51 (€4.81/$5.71) and NOK 56 (€5.28/$6.28)
