German processing equipment giant Baader acquired Swedish fish-processing manufacturer SEAC on Jan. 18, the company announced in a statement.

SEAC supplies fish-processing machinery for small pelagic fish species such as anchovy, as well as whitefish such as Alaska pollock, hake and blue whiting.

"By acquiring SEAC, we are further concentrating our leading role as a provider of complete protein-processing solutions," said Petra Baader, executive chairwoman at the company.
